Apple Watch International Collection: Bands and Faces are Bright and Colorful, Demonstrating a Strong Sense of Patriotism

The vibrant graphics on the new Sport Loop bands and downloadable watch faces reflect 22 countries from around the world.

Apple is introducing the International Collection bands for Apple Watch, which include 22 limited-edition Sport Loop bands with bright designs that reflect countries around the world, to honor the innate passion and competitive spirit of all athletes and fans. Each band comes with a downloadable Stripes watch face1 that provides color choices that customers all over the world may use to customize their Apple Watch and proudly display their countries pride.

The Sport Loop and Stripes watch face is part of the US International Collection.

The soft, breathable, and lightweight International Collection Sport Loop bands represent Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.

Amy Van Dyken, a Former Olympian, wears the new US International Collection Sport Loop.

After having a spinal cord injury 14 years after her competitive swimming days, Amy Van Dyken is a six-time Olympic gold winner in swimming, an enthusiastic CrossFitter, and a disabled rights activist. She's also a self-described goofy, Dillon's dog mom, a perfectionist, and a proud American.

Van Dyken described herself as "quite Type A and stubborn," adding, "I think a lot of competitors in the events I swam all have a little bit of that." Athletes at the top of their field have evident talent, but they also possess an unexplainable drive and a fierce competitive spirit.

Former Olympian Amy Van Dyken monitors the progress of her Activity rings while wearing the new US International Collection Sport Loop.

Van Dyken adds that her competitive personality still comes into play with her family, despite being an early Apple Watch user (she's used every model, including the original, which launched in 2015).

Van Dyken added, "I share activity with my sister and niece." I like how it keeps me linked to my family; we enjoy cheering one other on.

She continued, "I've always regarded myself an active person." I'm not aware of how much time I'm not in my chair and moving around because I'm paralyzed”. So I keep active by doing the Wheelchair Walk Pace and Wheelchair Run Pace routines, which are truly unique in my town. It's interesting to see how far I can push and how many times I can push in a day. Non-disabled people are aware of how many steps they take, therefore it's useful for us to be aware of this information as well."

Van Dyken is always on the go, whether she's competing with her family, doing CrossFit for hours in her neighborhood gym, or walking the dog.

Van Dyken actually awakens, sleeps, and breathes with Apple Watch, from her speaking engagements to meeting today's competitive swimmers and sharing their tales with the world. She gets up and checks the Pillow app to see how well she slept; she checks her oxygen levels with the Blood Oxygen app on her Apple Watch Series 6; and she navigates the area with Apple Maps, which she confesses she would get lost without.

Van Dyken's speeches begin in childhood, go to the Olympics, and finally to the 2014 ATV accident. She is as at ease displaying herself to the world as she is reminding the public that no single thing defines a person.

Van Dyken stated, "Life isn't simply one moment." "It's a jumble of things that are all braided together." So I want people to learn about the beginning so that when I tell them about the end, it has a little more effect and provides a more complete picture of my life before, during, and after the Games, as well as what's achievable."

Colorful graphics reflect 22 countries throughout the world on the new Sport Loop bands and downloadable Stripes watch faces.

The International Collection Apple Watch Sport Loop bands are available for $49 at Apple and are available in 40mm and 44mm sizes (US). App Clip feature is included in the band packaging, allowing you to quickly download the country's Stripes Apple Watch face.
