Apple has once again repeated the history by topping the list of Best Global Brands for the ninth time. The company overtook Google’s position in 2020, while this year, they took the top spot on the table, closely followed by Amazon. Microsoft also managed to reserve its spot in the table of the top three. All of the three brands sum up to a 33% total table value this year.
If we talk about the top ten ranked companies, Google came in 4th position, while Samsung managed to take the 5th spot. Additionally, Coca-Cola grabbed the sixth spot while Toyota managed to take 7th position on the list. The 8th spot was captured by Mercedes-Benz while McDonald’s came on 9th position, followed by Disney being the 10th one to make it to the top 10 list.
All of these top brands are currently being valued at US $2.67 billion, which is almost 15% more than that of 2020. According to statistics, this is the highest ever growth rate that has ever been recorded in the 22-year history of the Interbrands best global brands. Tesla is currently the fastest growing brand that has observed a whopping 184% increase in the overall brand value while moving from 26th place to 14th.
According to the Global CEO of Inter brand Charles Trevail, direction, agility, and participation are the three key factors that are driving the brand to grow over the years. As the business landscape is constantly evolving, there is no defined pattern as to how these companies are developing, and we can’t suggest which brand will thrive more than the other. Apple has considerably improved over these past couple of years, despite being new, while Tesla’s performance is quite surprising as it made the most giant leap up the Best Global Brands ranking in the current year. All of the top brands are competing with each other in a tough fight, and all we have to do is wait for the next year to see each one’s performance.
